Adam Burish – Board Member

Adam Burish, an American right-winger from Madison, Wisconsin, was known as a scrappy, energetic “glue guy” who thrived in checking roles and was beloved for his leadership and work ethic. A ninth-round pick (282nd overall) in the 2002 NHL Draft by Chicago, he first made his mark by captaining the University of Wisconsin to the 2006 NCAA National Championship and earning All‑Tournament Team honors. Burish began his NHL career with the Blackhawks in 2006, quickly becoming a fan favorite for his blue‑collar style, pest-like agitating, and willingness to drop the gloves when needed. In 2010, he won the Stanley Cup with Chicago, playing a key fourth-line energy role through 15 playoff games. He later signed with Dallas (2010–12) and San Jose (2012–15), finishing his NHL tenure with 378 games, 27 goals, 33 assists, and 554 penalty minutes. Best known for his relentless checking, team-first attitude, and infectious energy, Burish was valued as a vital locker-room presence and playoff performer.
