Ryan Malone – Board Member

Ryan “Bugsy” Malone—a 6′4″ left wing from Pittsburgh—was drafted 115th overall by his hometown Penguins in 1999. He debuted in the 2003–04 season, leading all NHL rookies with 22 goals and earning a spot on the NHL All‑Rookie Team. He became notable for his combination of physicality and scoring touch. Often playing alongside Sidney Crosby and Mark Recchi, Malone notched his first NHL hat trick in December 2006 and, remarkably, scored in the first minute of all three periods in another hat trick two days later—joining a rare father‑son duo to record hat tricks for the same franchise. He Named alternate captain in January 2008, he helped guide the Penguins to the 2008 Stanley Cup Final. In 2010, Malone earned a silver medal representing Team USA at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010.
