Reid Simpson was a Canadian left winger, best known for his role as a rugged NHL enforcer throughout a 12-season career spanning multiple teams. Drafted 72nd overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1989, he made his NHL debut in 1991 and appeared in 301 regular-season games, tallying 18 goals, 18 assists (36 points), and a whopping 838 penalty minutes—highlighting his physical style of play. While Simpson never hoisted a Stanley Cup as a player, he did claim a Calder Cup in 1995 with the AHL’s Albany River Rats, demonstrating his effectiveness in the minors. Over his NHL tenure, he suited up for the Flyers, Minnesota North Stars, New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning, St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, and Pittsburgh Penguins
