MY HOCKEY IDOL EP. 1: Zdeno chara & Nicklas lidstrom

One generational defenceman to another, Zdeno Chara has looked up to Nicklas Lidstrom as long as he’s been watching hockey. Where Lidstrom was the first European born captain to hoist the Stanley Cup, Chara was the second.  Both have won the Norris Trophy.  Both have been All Stars.  As the two discuss hockey, life, and lockdown, it’s in Chara’s voice where you can hear the admiration he has for Lidstrom: where the intimidating, bruising, 6-foot-7 hulk sounds just like a kid talking with his idol.
