Drafted 245th overall by Buffalo in 1985, he made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings before solidifying his reputation with the New York Islanders, where his arrival helped spark a dramatic 23\u20116\u20113 run . A classic \u201cbrawler with a brain,\u201d he amassed <b>2,242 penalty minutes<\/b>\u00a0in\u00a0<b>696 NHL games<\/b>, while scoring a modest\u00a0<b>13 goals and 41 assists<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0<b>54 points<\/b>\u00a0. He is the only NHL player to complete a full 82-game season recording just\u00a0<b>1 point<\/b>\u00a0.
