This groundbreaking alliance will bring the voice,<br \/>\nexperience, and influence of former NHL players directly into the conversation around<br \/>\nstudent-athlete mental health.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">United by a shared mission, NDUR and NHLAA will collaborate on initiatives that<br \/>\nsupport and empower student-athletes through peer-driven wellness tools, mentorship,<br \/>\nand authentic storytelling. The partnership is designed to not only raise awareness, but<br \/>\nalso to drive real changes in how mental wellness is approached in sports at the high<br \/>\nschool and collegiate level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cAs a former professional agent and lifelong advocate for the next generation of<br \/>\nathletes, this partnership is incredibly meaningful,\u201d said Daren Orr, President of NDUR.<br \/>\n\u201cTo have the NHL Alumni Association in our corner shows just how serious the sports<br \/>\ncommunity is about reshaping the mental health conversation. Together, we\u2019re going to<br \/>\nmake sure student-athletes know they\u2019re never alone and that help, guidance, and real<br \/>\nsupport is always within reach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The action plan includes a strategic awareness campaign, co-branded content and<br \/>\nsocial strategy, alumni ambassador activations, and a national PSA effort featuring NHL<br \/>\nlegends. NDUR\u2019s platform will also serve as a bridge, connecting retired pros with the<br \/>\nstudent-athletes who look up to them, creating a lasting impact both on and off the ice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This mission is already being championed by NHL alumni like Ryan Malone and Kelly<br \/>\nHrudey, who are lending their voices and personal stories to support the next<br \/>\ngeneration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ryan Malone\u2019s journey has given him much reflection to help focus on personal growth<br \/>\nand mental health advocacy. Through the Malone Family Foundation, he has been<br \/>\nactively involved in raising awareness about mental health issues and the positive<br \/>\nimpact of community support. \u201cI am very excited about our new partnership with NDUR<br \/>\nas it is another significant vehicle to bring awareness to the importance of mental health<br \/>\nand gives us the opportunity to mentor and support young athletes to provide a healthier<br \/>\ntomorrow for them,\u201d said Malone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Kelly Hrudey has been a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, often using<br \/>\nhis Hockey Night in Canada platform to speak openly about his own experiences. \u201cI<br \/>\nbelieve that sharing personal stories is one of the most effective ways to create<br \/>\nunderstanding about mental health. Our bright new partnership with NDUR will provide that platform to share our stories with young athletes and hopefully inspire them to be<br \/>\nmore open and talk about their challenges,\u201d Hrudey added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is more than just a partnership, it\u2019s a movement,\u201d said Glenn Healy, Executive<br \/>\nDirector of the NHL Alumni Association. \u201cThe wellbeing of today\u2019s young athletes is<br \/>\nsomething we all need to invest in, and NDUR has built a platform that\u2019s ready to lead<br \/>\nthe charge.
